Baler Safety

Baler Safety

The first time we took up hay, I noticed a fairly significant safety concern. The bale chute extension I had made to reach the wagon had sharp metal corners. Since people have to lean over the chute extension while grabbing a bale, I was concerned we might hit a bump and they could fall into the corner. Obviously the hope is that no one falls, but it's still ideal to minimize risks where possible. To accomplish this, I decided to use an angle grinder and round off the corners a bit. It still wouldn't feel great to fall on the chute extension, but it shouldn't pierce anyone at this point.
